Our Mission
As University stewards, we serve the Harvard community’s housing needs through professional leasing, property management, reinvestment, programming, and brokerage services. As an organization, we seek to provide housing services that enhance the Harvard experience.
What We Do
We offer rental opportunities in University-owned properties that are conveniently located, professionally managed, and competitively priced.
We create community programming and activities that strengthen connections among our residents and across the institution.
We provide access to housing services for buying, selling, or renting in Cambridge and the greater Boston area.

We are experienced industry professionals and fellow members of the Harvard community. We are mission driven and believe that when we do well by our residents, our staff, and our buildings, we are doing well by Harvard.
Harvard University Housing is organized into four key teams:
- Leasing Services
- Property Operations
- Graduate Commons Program
- Faculty Real Estate Services
The Leasing and Property Operations teams welcome our residents into the portfolio and work to ensure a positive, problem-free living experience during their tenancy.
The Graduate Commons Program is a unique interdisciplinary community building program for all graduate students, faculty, staff, and their families living in our properties and sets the portfolio apart from housing options available to Harvard affiliates in the private market.
Faculty Real Estate Services offers an array of additional real estate services to the broader University community and supports the University’s faculty recruiting efforts.
