Graduate Commons Program

Welcome to Graduate Commons! This unique interdisciplinary program provides a “home away from home” for the Harvard graduate students, faculty, staff, and their families living in participating Harvard University Housing properties. Learn more by viewing our video.

We are committed to making your Harvard experience a truly remarkable one, both in and outside the classroom by hosting events that spark your intellectual curiosity, challenge your physical being, and make a difference to your community. Programming includes wine and coffee nights, meet the scholar events, yoga classes, game nights, networking happy hours, Boston traditions like the Boston Pops! Holiday concert and much, much more!

    GCP celebrates FIFA World Cup

    GCP residents come from all over the world to learn at Harvard, but this summer they are cheering for their home countries!  This Thursday we are watching the US take on Germany at 12pm @ Peabody Terrace.

    GCP Programming wraps for academic year

    Graduate Commons Programming has officially ended for the academic year.  Many thanks to all of you who attended events and made our community so vibrant this year. If you’re staying with us for the summer, keep your eye out for events and orientations coming soon.

    Graduate Commons Application Process

    Good news!  There is no additional application for the Graduate Commons Program.  Simply select any available unit in a building designated as Graduate Commons.  You will be automatically enrolled once your lease begins.

    We are Expanding!

    Graduate Commons is expanding to include new properties for Fall 2014.  Be on the look-out for preview events in your area during the spring semester. Coming to 29 Garden, Botanic Gardens, Terry Terrace, Everett Street, Shaler Lane and more during late August 2014!

    Upcoming Events

    • April 17th: Meet the Scholar—Dr. Guhan Subramanian will be giving a talk entitled “Deal Process Design: Auctions, Negotiations, & ‘Negotiauctions.’” You won’t want to miss it!

    • April 27th: Family Earth Day Event—The Office of Sustainability and our PT Family Coordinator will be planning an eco-friendly fiesta for our youngest residents.  All GCP families are welcome to join in the fun!

    • April 30th: Red Sox Outing—It’s time to root for the Red Sox!  Join other GCP residents at historic Fenway Park for free—tickets are limited, so get yours today!
